![]() Ann M. EastburnAnn was born in Denver, Colorado. She graduated summa cum laude from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management. Ann was awarded a J.D. degree in 1991 from the University of Denver College of Law, where she received honors in research and writing and the American Jurisprudence Award - Uniform Commercial Code. She earned her real estate license in 1985. Ann is active in many natural resources industry associations and served as Secretary of the Rocky Mountain Association of Mineral Landmen. She authored an article on payment of royalties on take- or-pay settlements, as well as a monthly legal and legislative news column, appearing in the Denver Association of Professional Landmen newsletter. She also co-authored A Comparison of Laws on Leasing, Exploration and Production in Texas and Colorado published by the American Association of Professional Landmen and contributed to Tri-County Airport Reliever Feasibility Study, published by the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Ann has been in private practice since 1991, emphasizing oil and gas title examination and business transactions. She has worked with us on a nearly full-time basis from early 1998 to mid-2007, and, much to our delight, agreed to return as special counsel to the firm beginning in January 2010. Ann's hobbies include sport aviation, beekeeping, playing the piano, and fly fishing.
